Short Hills Ski Club Lodge

Nestled in the beautiful Vermont mountains our 1890’s farmhouse has been renovated over the years to now house 46 members. It is located in the Route 100 Valley and is easy driving distance to Sugarbush, Killington, Mad River Glen, Stowe, Okemo and Middlebury.

Lodge Fire Each winter, for only $82 (non-member rate, less for members) for two nights lodging, two wonderfully prepared breakfasts and Saturday night dinner, guests can return after a fun activity day and relax in the comfortable atmosphere of a warm fire with hors d’oervres and the smells of dinner being prepared. After dinner the guests can visit local entertainment venues, try out our game room, or just enjoy each other's company. Children are welcome on special family weekends (approximately once per month).

Benefits of membership include access to discount lift tickets at a variety of ski resorts, special small group skiing and boarding instruction, and opportunities for trips to Western resorts.

Members can also participate in our racing team which races weekly at Hidden Valley, and in competitions organized by the New Jersey Ski Council in New Jersey, New York and Vermont.

During the other seasons we gather at our lodge for just about any seasonal activity, such as biking, hiking, golfing, pig roasts, July 4th parades and fireworks. The White River flows behind the house which encourages swimming and tubing.

Between our weekends in Vermont, we meet on Tuesdays. Members gather both before and after the meeting to socialize. We also sponsor dinner parties in conjunction with these meetings to celebrate Thanksgiving, the Holiday season, Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, Saint Patrick’s Day, among others. Our Spring Banquet is anticipated throughout the year.

To find out more, check out the other sections of our web site, or attend one of our Tuesday meetings at 8:30 p.m. (weekly November to April) at the Elk’s Lodge, 40 Maple St. (second floor) in Summit, New Jersey.
